CIBC Biz Pitch Competition™ 2026

Also known as: CIBC Biz Pitch Competition

National pitch competition run by CIBC Business Banking in partnership with the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH), not a government program. Four prize categories: Entrepreneurial Success Story of the Year ($20,000), Start-Up of the Year ($10,000), Promising Student Entrepreneur of the Year ($10,000), and Most Popular Vote ($5,000) — $45,000 CAD total. Finalists pitch live virtually October 20, 2026.

⚠️ PRIVATE/CORPORATE, not government — jurisdiction is intentionally "private." Not to be confused with telus_standwithowners, a separate corporate contest with different prizes/dates. Also promoted via CIBC's own branded page as the "CIBC Women Entrepreneurs Hub" (https://www.cibc.com/en/business/programs/women-entrepreneurs.html, re-verified 2026-08-01) — same contest, identical prize amounts/categories/deadline/eligibility as the WEKH source below, not a separate women-only program despite the different branding (the Hub itself is a mentorship/networking/thought-leadership page; this competition is the only cash-prize component it links to). That CIBC-hosted page states one term not present on the WEKH page: "Use of artificial intelligence to create or assist with an application is prohibited." Intake closed 2026-08-31 — next intake date not yet announced. Confirm current status directly with the program.
